Knox Financial Hires Amber Barrett as Chief Revenue Officer

Knox Financial

BOSTON, September 15, 2022 — Knox Financial, the fintech company making it easy to buy your next home and turn your old house into a smart, reliable financial asset, today announced that Amber Barrett has joined the company as chief revenue officer (CRO).

“Homeowners who are getting ready to move usually think their best and only choice is to put the house up for sale,” said David Friedman, CEO of Knox Financial. “In fact, since 2019 Knox has been showing homeowners across the U.S. that this is not the case — most people can and should hold onto their old homes as investment properties because the returns are outstanding. As chief revenue officer, Amber will lead Knox’s marketing and sales teams in communicating how Knox’s incredible financial and technology solutions give people the opportunity to buy their next home and own a high-performing investment property without any of the headaches of being a landlord.”

Barrett brings to Knox two decades of experience in entrepreneurial, corporate, and agency environments across industries. Previous roles included director of marketing for digital banking platform Oportun, senior marketing director for auto loan platform SpringboardAuto, and director of marketing innovation for property management company Irvine Company. Barrett was also a founding member of The VineOC, providing a vibrant business community and resources to entrepreneurs.

“For most Americans, the best investment they own is the home they live in,” said Barrett. “Knox has done an incredible job giving homeowners an easy and lucrative solution for holding on to these investments. I look forward to working with Knox as the company prepares to launch additional products, expand into new regions, and work with thousands more homeowners across the US.”

Barrett is joining Knox during a time of rapid growth for the company. Knox recently announced $50 million in forward flow capital from Saluda Grade to expand its investment property loan products. Over the last year, Knox also expanded into new markets across the US, doubled its staff, and added more than 1000 clients.
