Marketing leader has successful track record of building global fintech brands, including Betterment and Clarity Money
BOSTON, February 26, 2020 — Knox Financial, a fintech company offering homeowners a smart and frictionless way to build wealth, today announced that Marc Karasu has joined the company as chief marketing officer.
“Knox will be entering new markets in 2020. To make this plan a reality, we need a marketing leader with a deep background in building fintech brands that are now household names,” said David Friedman, CEO and co-founder of Knox. “Marc Karasu has an incredible track record of both introducing and building brands that focus on helping people generate passive income and build wealth. He is a natural fit for our team.”
Karasu has been serving as an advisor to Knox for the past year, and brings to the company more than two decades of experience leading marketing and creative efforts for global fintech brands. Previous roles included VP of Marketing for Betterment, CMO of Clarity Money, CMO of Manilla, and interim CMO of Ellevest. Karasu also served as VP of Marketing for HotJobs.com, which was acquired by Yahoo! for $400M.
“A person’s home is often their best investment, and yet the vast majority of Americans sell their homes when they decide to move,” said Karasu. “Knox has created a completely hands-off financial product for building wealth through rental properties. The company is essentially doing for investment properties what robo advisors did for stock portfolio management.”
